Every time I am in Rome I take my Vespa and I go for a ride.
That’s the best way to move in such a busy town. Slinking among the thousands of cars you have the best view of the urbs. An incredible experience in the best open air museum of the world.
I spent almost all my young life here and now the town doesn’t hide any secrets. Shooting something original in a place like this can be tricky as you can easily fall into cliché. Rome can surprise you with astonishing sunsets and you can choose among several different subjects, from historical monuments to architecture, from lifestyle to the most spectacular churches you will ever see in your life!
I was driving on the Lungotevere road when suddenly I saw a few nice shades of sunset. I parked the Vespa and I run into Ponte Sant’Angelo. The day was windless and this causes a magnificent reflection on the calm Tiber. Done. Then in the evening I drove up to the Coliseum and I installed my tripod on one side of a very busy road. I was really a few centimeters away from the cars but I knew that was an original point of view of one of the most photographed monuments on earth. I stayed there for a few minutes even if some vehicles almost touched me, but the outcome was nice.

Walking up and down the Tuscany hills.
One day in the autumn Massimo, Tamara, and I were driving in Tuscany. We took a random exit from the highway and started driving around. I enjoyed the typical Tuscany countryside and even if the light wasn’t good I was able to take a few nice shots.
A couple of years ago I spent a Christmas in Tuscany.
It was cold and dark and the stars were filling the sky. I didn’t have a tripod so I used the roof of my car to stabilise my camera. I put the focus on some trees, branches and the stars. I find that the result was unique, giving the pictures a dark and disturbing atmosphere.

Sicilian contrasts: the state of being strikingly different from something else.
All this was in one island, in the south of the Mediterranean Sea. I was happy to discover those different landscapes, beaches, countryside and mountains. I was pleased to meet this nice culture. I was surprised to find some funny waves in some unexpected places. With the right condition, Sicily is the place where you could surf in the morning and skiing in the same day.
